A shocking display of anti-Hindu hatred unfolded at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton, Ontario, on November 3, 2024 where violent Khalistani extremists descended upon a peaceful place of worship. As innocent devotees arrived to pray, these extremists waved Khalistani flags and spewed hateful, anti-Hindu rhetoric before escalating to physical assaults on worshippers.
Despite the severity of the attack, Peel Police arrived late and failed to protect those under attack. Disturbingly, it was later revealed that one of the responding officers is an open Khalistani sympathizer, actively participating in separatist protests in Canada—despite the fact that Khalistani extremism is a separatist agenda rooted in India and has no place in Canada.
Hindu Forum Canada Takes Immediate Action
Hindu Forum Canada (HFC) swiftly launched an aggressive advocacy campaign to demand justice and accountability. Our response included:
Public Condemnation – HFC strongly denounced this violent attack and called for immediate action.
Legal Action – Through our legal representative, HFC issued a formal legal notice to:
- Canada’s Minister of Public Safety
- Peel Police leadership
- The RCMP
- Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown
Community Mobilization – HFC alerted and engaged various communities to stand in solidarity against this rising anti-Hindu hate.
Exposing Silence and Misinformation
HFC actively campaigned to hold political leaders accountable for their silence on this attack. While some, like the Ontario Sikh Gurdwara Council, condemned the violence, others—including Mayor Patrick Brown—failed to take a clear stance.
HFC also fought against online disinformation, exposing:
- Misleading narratives attempting to frame this as an “internal community conflict” instead of a direct attack on Canadian Hindus.
- Fake Hindu representatives and misrepresented Hindu priests spreading false narratives to downplay the severity of the attack.
Demanding Action Against Extremist Infiltration in Law Enforcement
One of the most alarming aspects of this incident is the presence of a pro-Khalistani police officer who failed in his duty to protect innocent Canadians. HFC has issued a legal notice demanding his immediate suspension, as his extremist loyalties make him unfit to serve a diverse and democratic society.
