Translation: May everywhere is happiness, may everyone be healthy, may all see the auspicious, may no one have to suffer, and there is peace, peace, and peace everywhere.

Our Mission

The mission of Hindu Forum Canada is supporting the core of Sanatan Dharma and bringing the issue of rising Hinduphobia into the consideration of the Canadian media, politicians, academics and policy makers.
Our mission is to extend humanitarian help to individuals against unjustified suffering due to monetary, social, legal, religious or political situations, and ensure everyone has a fair and equal right to good living.
Hindu Forum Canada has been building a progressive humanitarian movement. We practice our sadhana, or faith in action, by advocating for those social justice principles we believe are at the heart of any religion.
We empower deprived communities to live out the values of their faith through service, community transformation, and targeted advocacy work. We identify and support the destitute from all over the globe to lend them a chance to lead a healthy and socially secure life. We pursue this mission through integrated, holistic commitment to Hindu values that are based on different values mentioned below:

  • Ekatva: Oneness of all
  • Ahimsa: Nonviolence
  • Seva: Service

We have mobilized underprivileged groups across the globe and beyond to stand up for social justice causes including environmental justice, racial and economic justice, gender equity, immigrant rights, anti-casteism. We bring a reasonable voice to the interfaith justice movement. We also possess an extensive network of different chapters and members around the country and abroad.

Our Vision

Hindu Forum Canada’s vision is to promote universal values of unity, equality, truth, natural law, and mutual respect through Sanatana Dharma. We aim to instill virtues like honesty, goodwill, patience, and generosity to create a harmonious and peaceful world.
HFC Focuses on the process, not the outcome. Like in archery, you can control your preparation and efforts, but the result is beyond your full control. As highlighted in the Bhagavad Gita, we accept outcomes with equanimity.

Our vision is to provide the science of inner well-being to those in need, helping underprivileged individuals worldwide lead better lives. Our projects and programs aim to promote equality, truth, and mutual respect, supporting minority groups in achieving harmony through Sanatan Dharma.

We are committed to making a positive impact, HFC strives to lead global efforts in transforming the lives of underprivileged children, families, communities, persecuted minorities, and displaced people.

Beliefs and Opinions

Our working principles are based on the following beliefs:

We firmly believe that all living beings, irrespective of religion and caste, must have equal opportunity for education, upliftment, and empowerment. Social equality is a state of affairs in which all people within a specific society or isolated group have the same status in all respects, including civil rights, freedom of speech, property rights and equal access to social goods and services. True social equality means that no matter what society members have or who they are, they are treated equally and have equal opportunities.

We support global freedom of thought and worship. Religious freedom is essential for any modern society. Hindu teachings recognize multiple paths to worship, as expressed in the Rig Veda: “The Truth is one, the wise call It by many names.” This freedom must be rooted in mutual respect. We advocate for international religious freedom as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, including the rights to change one’s beliefs, practice religion, and be free from harassment and intrusive proselytization.

We advocate a policy of intolerance towards hatred, violence, and discrimination against all communities and religions. Anti-Hindu hatred or Hindu-phobia is the irrational fear of, hostility towards, discrimination against, or hatred directed at Hindus and Hinduism. These have a tragically long history which continues to this day across the globe. Those who are affected are continually exposed to attacks based on their religion and culture. We request your help in tracking down incidents of identity-based and bias-motivated intimidation, harassment, and violence in our communities. Raise your voices against such prejudice if you or someone you know has experienced or witnessed any incident of intolerance.

We condemn cruelty to any species and support policies for ethical animal treatment, ecological conservation, and climate change action. Hindu teachings emphasize the divine nature of all existence, advocating respect and protection for nature. The Yamas and Niyamas guide us to uphold ecological conservation and sustainability. HFC promotes sustainable practices that preserve resources for future generations and support balanced environmental and social development.

We support equality for all individuals, advocating for freedom, empowerment, and equal opportunity regardless of gender or background. We are committed to ensuring dignity and fairness for everyone, challenging cultural biases, and promoting legal measures that foster enduring equality for all.

We believe privileged groups should help improve the lives of the underprivileged. Our mission is to empower economically weaker communities by providing essential needs like education, food, health, and shelter. We aim to create ‘The Advantaged Society’ by equipping these communities with resources to build a sustainable future and drive their own transformation.

Our Guiding Principles

HFC is politically neutral and non-partisan. We stay informed but do not endorse any political party or its positions. We collaborate with individuals and institutions dedicated to promoting dignity, mutual respect, and pluralism. We are not affiliated with any religious or political organizations and aim to support those in need worldwide, regardless of race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

Our positions are grounded in a rigorous pursuit of facts, Hindu principles such as freedom, equality, and justice, and expert input. We will openly support policies that align with these values and rigorously substantiate our positions.

HFC will always base its advocacy on our guiding principles, focusing on what we believe aligns with Hindu Dharma and benefits minority groups globally.
