Robert Bruce Ford was the 64th Mayor of Toronto, from 2010 to 2014. Before he took office as Mayor, Rob Ford was a city councilor representing Ward 2 of Etobicoke North. He and his brother personally contributed $10,000 towards the planning and creation of Canada’s first Hindu School. On the day of the School’s Announcement Ceremony, February 12, 2012, Rob was unable to attend and appointed his brother, former City Councilor and current Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, to stand in his stead.
